Tim Synan leads the Google Cloud Sales team for Southeast Asia. He has resided in Singapore since 2005, and joined Google in May 2016. Prior to Google, Tim spent 20 years in a variety of technology related consulting, sales and management roles, including almost 10 years focused on cloud computing. Tim has developed and led partner and sales teams for startups and enterprise organizations in Europe and Asia, including Accenture, Amazon and Dell-EMC. He earned his Undergraduate degree in Sociology and his Masters in Business Administration in the UK in 2005.

Dr. Santitarn Sathirathai

Group Chief Economist,

Dr. Santitarn Sathirathai is Group Chief Economist and a member of senior management at Sea, the leading internet company in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Sea’s businesses include Shopee, the region’s largest and most popular e-commerce platform, Garena, a global leader in games publishing and development, and AirPay, one of the pioneers of Southeast Asia’s digital financial services sector.

At Sea, he heads the company’s Research and Public Policy Unit and leads Sea’s engagement with policymakers and influencers around the region, with a particular focus on promoting digital skills and literacy for young people, SMEs, and other industry stakeholders.

A passionate advocate for the power of technology to drive transformation and inclusion, he published his first book, Futuration, in Thailand in 2019. The book addresses Santitarn’s views on how Thailand can prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the future economy, and has become an instant best-seller and one of the country’s most talked-about books of the year.

Prior to joining Sea, Santitarn was the Head of Emerging Asia Economics Research at Credit Suisse where he advised public and private investors, covering 10 economies. He was the only economist in Asia to have won the prestigious best economic forecaster award by Consensus Economics for three consecutive years. He has also worked at Thailand's Ministry of Finance and at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, as well as the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation.

In addition to his work with Sea, he is also a visiting lecturer at Chulalongkorn University and is one of the founding members of the Thai Young Philanthropist Network (TYPN), which mobilises over 1800 passionate youths to work on inclusive and sustainable development projects in Thailand.

Santitarn holds a doctorate degree in Public Policy and a master’s degree in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Greg DeMichillie

Greg has 20 years experience in creating great computing platforms for developers and IT alike. He has been at Google since before the inception of Google Cloud Platform and as Director of Product he lead the product teams for App Engine, Compute Engine, Kubernetes & Container Engine, as well as the Developer Console, SDKs, and Billing system. He has delivered keynote presentations and product demos at events such as Google I/O and Google Cloud NEXT as well as featured interviews with the New York Times, Wall St Journal, and other publications.

Prior to joining Google, he had leadership roles at variety of companies including Adobe and Amazon, as well as a decade at Microsoft where he was a developer on the first version of Visual C++, the development manager for Microsoft’s Java tools, and lead the product team for the creation of C#.

Vikas Desai

Vikas Desai is an experienced IT Strategist helping organizations leverage the power of cloud as a business enabler. In his current role as a Cloud Architect for Google, Vikas works closely with some of the largest banks in the Asia-Pacific region helping them develop and build their cloud roadmaps.

Vikas came to Google with a distinguished track record, having held senior positions earlier with IBM, Citibank, RSA Security, Sun Microsystems and Netscape Communications. In his previous role at IBM he was the AP Tech leader for Cloud Cyber Security solutions including Watson for Cyber Security. At Citibank he worked as a Senior VP for Application Security. At RSA he worked very closely with some of the largest Banks in Asia-Pacific to design their Cyber Fraud and Digital Crime prevention initiatives.

Vikas has lived and worked in Singapore, India, United States and France.

He was recently granted a patent on Mobile Security.

Henry Wu

The NDI programme aims to develop a trusted digital ecosystem, centred around a universal identity, to facilitate data flow and service journeys across the boundaries of organisations.

Quek Sin and his team collaborate closely with government agencies, industry partners and the international communities to develop the necessary digital infrastructure that enables online trust, including platforms for identity, authentication, consent, authorisation, digital signature, eKYC and data exchange.

Prior to joining the Public Service in 2009, Quek Sin served in multiple consulting and management roles across various MNCs, including Accenture, Deloitte Consulting and HP.

Rick Harshman

Rick Harshman is the Managing Director of Asia Pacific and Japan for Google’s Cloud business. He is responsible for all sales and partnership activities across the region.

Prior to joining Google, Mr. Harshman spent more than 6 years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a variety of management roles. As one of the first employees appointed for AWS in Asia Pacific, Mr Harshman was part of the senior leadership team and during his tenure built and ran the India and SE Asia businesses. Prior to AWS, Mr. Harshman also held management positions at Akamai Technologies in the United States, Australia and Singapore.

Alison Wagonfeld

Alison Wagonfeld is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Google Cloud representing both Google Cloud Platform and G Suite. Previously, she was an operating partner at Emergence Capital, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm focused on enterprise cloud companies, where she worked with over 30 companies and developed the firm’s branding, marketing, and talent programs.

Prior to Emergence, Alison was Executive Director of the Harvard Business School California Research Center where she worked with faculty to build the entrepreneurship curriculum, helped develop programs for the Harvard Innovation Lab and led Harvard student “entrepreneurship immersion” trips to Silicon Valley. Before her role at HBS, Alison led Marketing and Business Development at Greenlight, a venture backed start-up, and worked at Intuit, where she co-founded the Quicken Loans business. Earlier in her career, Alison worked as a product manager at Microsoft and as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York and Hong Kong.

Yoshiki Sato

With 20+ years experience in IT industry, Yoshi started his career as a software engineer and has established himself as a subject matter expert in messaging and collaboration technology, infrastructure and virtualization technology for various enterprise customers.

Yoshi lives in Singapore, and has a Bachelor of Informatics. He wrote over 29 books and many technical articles about Google technologies.

He led the backend team to build the distributed Trading Platform to enable fully automated front-to-back digital wealth management services.
