Originally from Tasmania, Australia, Michael’s academic journey began with a PhD in Number Theory at Princeton University, which led to a career in academia spanning over ten years in the US with a particular focus on Cryptography, Data Privacy and Topological Data Analysis. This foundation in mathematical thinking and data analytics paved the way for his transition from US academia to UK entrepreneurship seven years ago.

After starting two startups in automated insights and data visualisation, Michael shifted his focus to product development and strategy. At Brandwatch, where he was the VP of Product Strategy, he developed Brandwatch Reviews and Brandwatch for Education. Both products were built exclusively using Google's Natural Language API and Translations API, as well as serverless infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

Now, as the VP of Data and Data Science at GWI, Michael and his teams are renovating their existing legacy data infrastructure with Google's cloud technology, data analytics stack and generative AI playing a central role.

Gavin has international experience leading teams and scaling commercial deployment. At Amazon Web Services’ (AWS), he oversaw all operations across the EMEA region as EMEA Managing Director. Gavin was also UK Managing Director at Microsoft UK, where he was responsible for leading its enterprise commercial business.

Stephan Pretorius has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and advertising technology consulting and is passionate about helping brands master the technology and develop the capabilities necessary to deliver ground-breaking digital strategies.

Stephan joined Wunderman (now Wunderman Thompson) as its first Chief Technology Officer in 2016, responsible for defining the agency’s technology vision and strategy, and for managing its relationship with key technology partners such as Google, Adobe, Salesforce, Microsoft, IBM and Facebook. As Wunderman’s offering in the United Kingdom rapidly expanded in 2017, Stephan was appointed as UK Group CEO.

Earlier in his career, Stephan recognised the potential of technology-enabled marketing to radically influence the way brands engage with consumers. In 1999, he founded Acceleration, the leading marketing technology consultancy. Acceleration joined WPP in 2012 and became a division of Wunderman in 2016.

A native of South Africa, Stephan holds a Master’s degree in Media & Telecommunications Law from Columbia Law School.

Adam is Unilever’s Head of Vendor Management Office and Chief Technology Officer. He joined Unilever four years ago as the Head of Technology Services and during that time has built up the programme and partners that have moved Unilever out of its data centres and onto the cloud.

Adam started his career as a deskside support engineer fixing laptops for the Medical Representative at Glaxo. He worked at GSK for 27 years and worked in all parts of IT and the GSK business.

Harmeen is a global leader in incubating new businesses and creating new revenue streams, with over 25 years’ experience leading digital, and technology transformation, running technology-led businesses.

Before joining BT Group, Harmeen was group CIO and head of the cloud & security business at Bharti Airtel. She was also previously CIO at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BBVA and HSBC.

Harmeen serves as a Non-Executive Director for Lloyds Banking Group, as well as a board member for TM Forum.

Ben founded Gymshark when he was 19 years old and still a student at Aston University. The business has grown from an operation in Ben's garage to one of the most recognised fitness brands in the world.

In 2016 Gymshark was confirmed as one of the UK's fastest-growing companies by Fast Track in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list. Ben was nominated as one of Forbes 30 under 30 in Retail and E-commerce in 2018, the same year Gymshark's revenue broke the £100 million barrier. In 2020, Ben struck a deal with General Atlantic that valued Gymshark at more than £1bn. The valuation meant that, at the time, Gymshark joined the list of less than 25 British companies to have secured 'unicorn' status since 2001. Later that year, Ben was voted EY's UK Entrepreneur of the Year.

Gymshark now employs over 800 people globally, has revenues of over £500m and, in January 2023, Ben Francis was awarded an MBE for services to commerce and economy.

David Hunn is Chief Information Officer of The John Lewis Partnership - the parent group of Waitrose supermarkets, John Lewis Department Stores and John Lewis Financial Service.

David has been in the Partnership for over 30 years starting as a systems engineer to delivering major programmes of change including the development of our digital capabilities in John Lewis and his role now covers all aspects of technology across the Partnership from strategy through to operating.

Gregory Vladimer, PhD is the Vice President of Translational Research and joined Exscientia through the acquisition of Allcyte, a pioneer in the field of AI-first functional precision oncology and translational cancer research, where he was a Scientific Co-Founder and the Chief Scientific Officer. At Allcyte, he and his team pushed the boundaries of translational cancer research through the use of disease-relevant primary human cancer samples, high content imaging, custom AI-powered computer vision, and scalable cloud computing.

At Exscientia, his group progresses pre-clinical research further into precision medicine through the modelling of diseases by multiomics and multimodal learning.

Mike is an Engineering Manager at Thought Machine, heading up their Testing and Quality teams. He joined Thought Machine 3 years ago and has been leading the implementation of the performance testing framework for their cloud-native core banking platform, across cloud service providers.
