In this session, you will get to know Gemini, a model built for multimodality, and learn how to use the Vertex AI API to explore its functionality and integrate it into your applications. Additionally, a hands-on lab will teach you how to use the Vertex AI Gemini API and SDK for Python to interact with the Gemini Pro model, with optional sections on Gemini Pro Vision and image handling.

Artificial intelligence (AI) agents are software programs that can interact with their environment, gather data, and use that data to perform tasks to achieve goals. Agents promise to bring AI innovations to enterprises through tasks such as search, chat, and recommendations systems. In this lab you will learn Google Cloud's Agent Builder, which allows you to define an authoritative source of information that you can then use to construct large language model-driven search, chat, and recommendation systems. This lab shows how to create and populate a Vertex AI Agent Builder datastore, how to create a search app connected to that datastore, and how to submit queries through the search engine.

A hands-on exploration of products in the Gemini line to help you create applications more efficiently and augment those applications with generative features

• Explore options and create code while leveraging Google’s Gemini Code Assist and Cloud Code plugins

• Access Gemini from code within the application
