Product News
As schools transitioned to a virtual learning model, Classroom usage around the world has grown. With this growth comes improvements to help make using Classroom easier for students and educators. Updated features include link-based sharing for adding students to classes and to-do improvements, which help students to prioritize and easily track classwork. Additionally, Classroom is able to sync with eligible student information systems, allowing instructors to directly push grades to their SIS and eliminate duplicative work. 
Assignments is now available to everyone as a core service within G Suite for Education. Assignments, an app for your learning management system (LMS), gives educators a simpler and faster way to analyze, grade, and share student work. Assignments is compatible with any LMS that supports LTI 1.1 or higher. 
Anticipating that many schools will continue this year in hybrid or remote environments, we will be rolling out many new Google Meet features for G Suite for Education users that include larger tiled views, background options, and handraising. Additionally, G Suite Enterprise for Education users will be able to access features such as attendance tracking, polling, and breakout rooms.
Explore solutions from Google for Education partners that bring enhanced administrator reporting to Google Classroom. 
Translate docs, websites, or PDFs into 100+ languages with Google Translate. While it doesn’t replace human translators, it can be a useful tool to overcome language barriers facing students, families, or your school community.  
This back to school season, many applications such as Nearpod, Classcraft, Adobe, Texthelp, Canva, and Screencastify are launching new features that allow them to work seamlessly alongside Chromebooks, Google Classroom, and/or G Suite for Education.
