What's new with Google for Education: Chromebooks & Workspace We announced new features coming to Chromebooks and Google Workspace for Education this year. Read on to find out about how we're building features for more personal learning, accessible and collaborative classrooms, and safer digital environments.
What's new with Google Workspace for Education We announced new features in Google Classroom, Meet, Slides and more to help students and educators build safer, more collaborative and accessible classrooms. New Classroom features give educators the chance to easily create interactive, personal lessons - and get insights - within Classroom. We're also improving collaboration throughout the school, making it possible to share class templates and classes with a link (great for planning the next school year), gain visiblity with Classroom analytics, and visit classes without being a co-teacher.
Top requests in grading and classroom management are also being announced. With tile pairing in Meet, when either person speaks both are highlighted for other people in the meeting, making it clearer that both are presenting even when only one is speaking - especially helpful when using sign language or voice interpreters. In Slides, live pointers will allow you see each other's cursors on a slide in real-time, making it easier than ever to work together on presentations.
New updates for Chromebooks We're building new features into Chromebooks to make them the best devices for teaching and learning, including updates to Screencast and cast moderator, reading mode and image to text on Chrome browser, features for admins like ChromeOS data controls, and more.
The power of great apps and Google Today, we’re expanding our efforts to showcase great apps for teaching and learning with the Google for Education App Hub, where educators and admins alike can discover every app that connects with Google for Education products, all in one place. On the Google for Education App Hub, you’ll find the latest and most useful education app integrations, including add ons, SSO integrations, and app licensing.
